| Witham, Essex |
This Essex town has existed since 913 and
is now a rambling place with many old and attractive houses.
The church on Chipping Hill has some interesting monuments and
a screen dating to the 14th Century, the South porch dates from
about 1200 and the tower contains Roman brickwork.
Two miles North-West of the town you will find Faulkbourne Hall,
much restored but still containing much of it's lovely Tudor
brickwork. |
