| Wickham Market |
Wickham Market is
situated to the north-east of Ipswich. Take the A12 from Ipswich
for 15 miles, signposted at the end of the dual carriageway.
Technically Wickham Market is not a town (even though it has
a population of over 2,500) but a very large village! There
are a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Conveniently located
for visitors and within easy reach 18 hole golf course at Ufford
Park, Easton Farm Park, Sutton Hoo, Snape
Maltings and Framlingham
Castle.
A curious thing happens when you step off a train at Wickham
Market station, you are not in Wickham Market but in fact in
the village of Campsea Ashe some 2 miles from Wickham Ð so if
you are intending to arrive by train, you have been warned!
