Sunday 29th June
TWO COUNTIES MOTOR SHOW.
Rowley Mile, Newmarket Racecourse, 10am-5pm.
For a great family day out, why not come along to the Two Counties Motor Show on Sunday 29 June at The Rowley Mile Racecourse in Newmarket?
The show, organised by the Lions clubs of Cambridge, Ely and Newmarket, is now in its ninth year at this prestigious site. This year's event brings together some of the newest cars on the market as well as some of the great classics, with more dealers - and visitors - than ever expected to attend.
With an anticipated 30 marques of car at the show, provided by the top dealers in the area, the Two Counties Motor Show offers the chance to view and compare some of the latest models, all in one place on one day. And if you're thinking of getting a new car, there is always the chance of bagging that special offer on the day.
In addition to 'drag' Beetles, Hummers and limousines, the real car enthusiast will relish the chance to get up close to some of the oldest and rarest cars in the region, thanks to local car clubs and individual classic car owners. The motor racing enthusiast won't be disappointed either, with both Team AFM Racing's British Touring Racing car and B&R's World Champion Hot Rod at the show.
There will be a variety of amusements to keep children happy, from a bouncy castle to mini-crazy electric cars, and the good news for parents is that the majority of these are free. New this year, the East Anglian Large-Scale Off Road R/C Club will be holding remote-controlled car races throughout the day - great to watch for both the young and old.
All proceeds from this event will be going to charity. The beneficiaries include West Suffolk Crossroads - Caring for Carers, Ely and Soham Dial-a-Ride, and the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre.
The show runs from 10am to 5pm on Sunday 29 June. Admission is £5 for adults, £2 for young people aged 12-16 and FREE for the under 12's. With live music, plenty of food, ice creams and a beer tent, it makes a great day out.
For further information on the show, or if you would like to exhibit, please contact Cheryll (01223 812405 / 07766 823873) or Ian (07711 492075), or visit www.twocountiesmotor-show.org.uk
