Stanton Spring Open Gardens
Gardeners, budding and mature, will be out in force at the annual
Stanton Spring Open Gardens Event on Sunday 3rd May between
1.30 and 6pm. Stanton is a pretty village located on the A143
between Diss and Bury St. Edmunds.
This popular first May Bank Holiday event is now in its thirteenth
year and will feature around 15 interesting gardens of all shapes
and sizes located throughout the village. Come along to pick
up ideas, advice and even plants from several sales in various
gardens.
As well as the gardens themselves, the fun-packed day will include
activities for all the family, such as children's amusements,
bouncy castle, a treasure hunt, wild garden walk, live music
and a raffle. Exhibits in the church will include contributions
from local schools as well as stunning floral displays. The
historic post mill will also be open (separate charge applies).
Refreshments and programmes will be on sale from the Church
Rooms. Programmes cost £4.00 per adult, £3.00 senior
citizens and students, with accompanied under 16's free. Ample
free parking is available at the Village Hall. Organised by
the Friends of All Saints Church, last year the event raised
over £1,500, which went towards the first phase of the
much-needed new floor for the church.

HISTORIC VEHICLE RALLY.
This is an annual event, a fine display of historic
vehicles ranging from mopeds and cars thru to military and trade vehicles.
Assembling in Christchurch Park, Ipswich in the morning then a convoy
of vehicles from Ipswich to Felixstowe, vehicles then on display on
Felixstowe seafront.

The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is
hosting a superb range of events over the bank holiday weekend, with
outstanding entertainment for all the family. Join us for our incredible
Wildlife Arts and Crafts Day on Sunday May 24th, when the Centre will
be joined by a whole range of artists including sculptors, woodcarvers
embroiderers and many, many more; all demonstrating their latest creations
inspired by nature.
Fantastic fun for the kids includes our S.O.S Safari and free face
painting over the Sunday and Monday and on Wednesday May 27th be sure
not to miss our amazing Pirates of the Skies half term Activity Day,
including flag and nest making and much more.
As always we will be staging our spectacular flying displays daily,
providing a chance to see some of the world's most beautiful birds
of prey show off their aerial prowess.
The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is located on the A1120 at Stonham Aspal
at the Stonham Barns complex, which also features shops, a garden
