The East Anglian Medieval Festival,
Cressing Temple, Braintree, Essex CM77 8PD
This popular event is moving to Cressing Temple from Rougham
Airfield and the new setting will make it even more enjoyable.
A packed programme of Arena Displays will culminate in a daily
Battle, there will be living history camps to explore where
you can find out more about life in the Middle Ages.
A Medieval Market for your retail therapy featuring a surprising
variety of things from traditional Mead to a made to measure
suit of armour, side shows such as 'Have a Go Archery', quality
catering and a traditional Ale Bar.
Although the final line up is still to be confirmed, previous
East Anglian Medieval Festivals have featured Archery, Falconry,
Music, Mounting Hunting Games, Dance, and a re-creation of the
Ivanhoe Tournamnet with jousting and melee.
10am-6pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday Adults £10,

GAY PRIDE SUFFOLK
Suffolk's first ever Gay Pride will be an afternoon to make
the history books. Why? Because as well as live music from 12
noon to 6pm (everything from Jazz to Folk To Rock To Pop), the
event features a live audio link-up with crowds of LGBT New
Yorkers gathered at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village.
It is the 40th anniversary of the riots there, and we are going
to share with them by all waving banners (make some!!) calling
out greetings and singing together. History made. The event
is free and also features food and other stalls and a community
market, as well as Betty's Nightclub beer tent with DJ's and
the Kiss FM Dance Drome. Bring your friends and family and celebrate
together with New York.

AUSTRALIA DAY,
Help us celebrate a Bonzer Aussie Day with the Family. Kids
bring your Oldies (parents) and join in the fun and games with
Billabong Bruce and Saucy Sheila. Don't miss

The display covers an area of 20 feet x 9 feet, and has won
many awards.

Fressingfield Music Festival
Church of St Peter & St Paul, Fressingfield, Suffolk
Marking its fifth anniversary, the Fressingfield Music Festival
has been extended to five concerts from 22-26 September. The
festival opens with the Brian Dee Jazz Quintet on 22 September.
The following evening early music soprano Emma Kirkby will perform
accompanied by Badinage. On Thursday, the winner of the Fressingfield
Young Musician Award, Meng Yang Pan will give a piano recital.
Julian Lloyd Webber will be accompanied by Pam Chowan at Friday’s
concert and the festival will close on Saturday with a performance
by the Choir of Christ’s College, Cambridge.
All concerts will commence at 7.30pm and tickets can be booked
in advance for £10 or at £12 on the night, subject
to availability. Tickets for Friday’s concert cost £15
in advance or £17 at the door, subject to availability.
