Sunday
3rd July, the day after the "Live8 concert" in London's
Hyde Park, Live8 was always going to be a hard act to follow
but the musicians taking part in the 14th Ipswich Music Day
did follow it and followed it well.
An excellent mix of music across 7 stages based around Ipswich's
Christchurch Park. The Music Day is Suffolk's largest "free"
event and forms part of the town's Ip-art festival.
As well as local bands, there was poetry reading, craft stalls,
dance and fairground attractions.
But above all else a great day's entertainment in the warm sunshine.
