The Lowestoft Air Show is underway and for the first time in it’s 16 year history it is being held over a weekend, additionally it has been brought forward so it does not clash with the London Olympics.
Nearly 40 aircraft will fly over the next two days with the world-famous Red Arrows closing the show on each day.
Show highlights include the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Eurofighter Typhoon and the historic B17, Sally B, Red Bull Matadors aerobatic team and Breitling Wingwalkers.
Costing more than £300,000 to stage the show’s organisers are hoping everyone attending will donate a minimum of £3 to hep the funding. Added incentive to pay is that you will get a 60-page event programme containing more than £170 of money-off vouchers.
Extra trains and increased car parking have been arranged and a new car park has been set up at Riverside Road in Lowestoft.
All official air festival parking costs £10 per car with a park and ride service from Dip Farm at Corton – including a free shuttle bus service.
